Submit Manuscript Journal of Leadership, Ethics, Governance, and Sustainable Innovation (JLEGSI) Register
Our Editorial Process

Stage 1: Submission and Preliminary Evaluation

  • Account Registration

Authors begin by creating a profile on the journal’s website to enable electronic submission and tracking of their manuscripts.

  • Manuscript Submission

Authors upload their articles through the online submission system, including required files such as figures, tables and supplementary materials, along with declarations of originality and ethical compliance.

  • Technical Screening

The Editorial Office performs an initial check to confirm adherence to the journal’s submission guidelines, citation style and ethical requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet basic criteria may be returned to authors for correction before review.

  • Editorial review

The Editor-in-Chief examines each submission for originality, thematic relevance and alignment with the journal’s focus areas. Submissions deemed suitable proceed to peer review, while those outside the journal’s scope are declined with feedback.

Stage 2: Peer Review and Editorial Assessment

  • Assignment to Handling Editor

Suitable manuscripts are assigned to an editor who oversees the peer review process.

  • Double-Blind Peer Review

JLEGSI applies a double-blind review model, ensuring anonymity between authors and reviewers to maintain objectivity. Each article is typically reviewed by two independent subject experts.

  • Review Period and Evaluation

Reviewers are given up to five weeks to evaluate submissions. They assess the article’s originality, methodological rigour, ethical soundness and contribution to the field.

  • Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer feedback, the Editor-in-Chief (or Handling Editor) may decide to:

    • Accept the paper as submitted;
    • Request major or minor revisions; or
    • Decline the submission, providing constructive feedback to the author.

Stage 3: Revision and Quality Verification

  • Author Revision

When revisions are requested, authors are required to update their manuscripts accordingly and submit a detailed response letter outlining how each reviewer comment has been addressed.

  • Re-evaluation
Revised manuscripts undergo editorial review to verify that the requested changes have been made appropriately. If necessary, the paper may be sent back to one or both original reviewers for confirmation.
  • Final Editorial Review

Once revisions meet the journal’s quality, ethical and formatting standards, the Editor-in-Chief grants final approval for the article to move to production.

Stage 4: Production and Publication

  • Copy Editing and Proofing

The accepted manuscript undergoes professional copy editing to ensure grammatical accuracy, stylistic coherence and formatting consistency.

  • Typesetting and Galley Proofs

After editing, the article is formatted into the journal’s layout. Galley proofs are shared with authors for final checking and approval.

  • Final Verification

Authors and editors review the galley version for any final corrections or typographical issues. Once approved, the article is considered the version of record.

  • Online Publication and Indexing

The final, approved version is published on the journal’s OJS platform as part of the next scheduled issue. Each article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and archived through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to guarantee long-term accessibility
